Tasting Notes

The flavour of Paprika can vary between sweet and fruity to hot and spicy. Paprika adds a mild spicy flavour to dishes, with a fruity peppery dimension. It also adds a beautiful deep red colour.

Cayenne pepper can be used as a substitute for Paprika, but it is much hotter. Sweet smoked paprika, also known as Pimenton Dulce, is mild capsicum peppers oak smoked to create a sweet smoky flavour. Commonly used in Spanish and Hungarian cuisine, try sprinkling into stews or seafood dishes.
