Tasting Notes

Coriander seeds add a distinctive mild fruity flavour to dishes, which is reminiscent of lemon and sage. Coriander leaves add a sweet flavour with a slightly spicy aftertaste. The leaves are more commonly used in Asian cuisine, particularly Thai.

Coriander Seeds can be substituted with Caraway seeds or Cumin. Coriander seeds are a key spice in many Middle Eastern dishes and a staple ingredient in Indian curries; coriander seeds are bursting with flavour and can be crushed and added to dishes, or try rubbing them onto pork before cooking. The fine, ground seeds of Ground Coriander can easily add flavour to both cuisines. Try adding to marinades or add a sprinkle into homemade burgers and meatballs. Coriander Leaves are ideal for adding the final touch of flavour to curries and tagines. They can also be used to add a sweet herby flavour when sprinkled over salads and in marinades. Our mix of Coriander and sunflower oil is a great way of adding the distinct coriander flavour. This product can be used to stir into dishes, spread straight onto meat before grilling or mixed with a little extra oil to create a marinade. 1 tsp measures a teaspoon of chopped fresh coriander.
