Ingredients

  • 150g soft butter
  • 150g caster sugar
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 225g plain flour
  • ½ tspn Baking Powder
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 3 tsp Bart Caraway Seeds

    1. In a bowl beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then gradually beat in the eggs.
    2. Sift the flour and baking powder into the mixture and fold gently.
    3. Stir in the milk and caraway seeds..
    4. Spoon into a greased and lined 1kg loaf tin and bake in the oven at 180c/Gas 4 for 50 minutes.
    5. Leave in the tin for 10 minutes then turn onto a wire rack to cool. Serve cut in slices, spread with butter.
