- Place the wine, cloves, cinnamon stick, star anise, nutmeg, orange and lemon zest in a pan. Heat gently until just below boiling then remove from the heat and leave to infuse for 10-15 minutes. As a shortcut you can pour the wine into the saucepan, and pop in a Bart Wine Mulling sachet instead.
- Return to a low hear. When hot, but not boiling, stir in the sugar. Strain and serve immediately.
