Ingredients

  • 100g butter
  • 50g light muscovado sugar
  • 85g caster sugar
  • 185g dark chocolate
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 100g pecan nuts
  • 100g plain flour
  • 1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
  • ½ tsp Bart Ground Allspice

    1. Melt 85g of the chocolate.Then beat it together the butter, sugar, caster sugar, vanilla extract and egg.
    2. Stir in the pecan nuts, remaining broken chocolate, flour, bicarb and allspice.
    3. Heap 20 spoonfuls, well apart, onto a non-stick baking sheet.
    4. Bake at 180c/Gas 4 for 10 minutes until firm.
    5. Cool on baking sheets.
