Ingredients

  • 4 pears, peeled
  • 4 tbsp clear honey
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar
  • 300ml water
  • 6 Bart Cloves

    1. Place the pears in a baking dish. Preheat the oven to 200c/Gas 6.
    2. Heat together the honey, sugar and water. Boil for 2 minutes. Pour over the pears and add the cloves.
    3. Bake the pears for 1 hour until tender, turning from time to time.
    4. Remove the pears and keep warm. Boil the syrup for a few minutes until reduced and thickened. Pour over the pears.
