BLACK ONION SEEDS
Nigella seeds have a herby taste with a slight bitterness.
We have recently changed the name from Black Onion Seeds to Nigella Seeds as this is what they’re more commonly known as in the UK. They can be used whole, ground or roasted. Where Nigella Seeds aren’t available cumin seeds, sesame seeds or oregano can be used. The seeds are widely used in Indian and Middle Eastern cuisines, especially bread and vegetarian cooking. To help bring out the flavour, toast the seeds briefly.

An earthy nutty seed, traditional in Indian vegetarian dishes. Gently toast and toss into salads.
